Rep. Demmer Urges Small Businesses & Non-Profits to Submit Information to DCEO for Access to SBA Economic Injury Loans

Dixon – State Representative Tom Demmer (R-Dixon) is urging small businesses and non-profits to submit information to the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) concerning how the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak has negatively affected their business.

“Low-interest, long-term loans can be a lifeline to many small businesses and non-profits who are facing economic hardship due to the Coronavirus,” said Rep. Demmer. “That’s why it’s so important for Illinois to receive an economic injury disaster declaration from the SBA. Before small businesses in our communities can apply for these loans, they must provide information to DCEO on how the Coronavirus has negatively impacted their business and operations. For any small businesses and non-profits who would like to utilize this loan program, please submit information to DCEO as soon as possible so our state can receive this critical declaration.”

Information provided to DCEO will be submitted to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in evaluating Illinois’ request for an economic injury disaster declaration. Information obtained from this form will only be used to assist in requesting an economic injury disaster declaration from SBA and identifying greatest areas of need.

Small businesses and non-profits are encouraged to submit their information to DCEO at this LINK or by visitingform.jotform.com/200717156003039.

For questions concerning the program, please contact the SBA disaster assistance customer service center. Call 1-800-659-2955 (TTY: 1-800-877-8339) or e-mail disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
