LEE COUNTY — Lifescape remains your resource for older adult services in our area. Please give us a call with any questions or if we can help in any way. If we do not provide a service or a program, we are happy to refer you to somewhere that does.
In response to COVID-19 (coronavirus) the State of Illinois has requested Lifescape, and all senior organizations in Illinois, to suspend the following services: Adult Day Program, Health & Wellness Services, and Advocacy & Assistance programs. These programs will be suspended until further notice.
The suspended programs WILL NOT INCLUDE Meals on Wheels program, transportations services, Adult Protective Services, Comprehensive Care Coordination services. We also have loosened restrictions for receiving meals. Now, the only requirement for receiving Meals on Wheels is that you need to be 60 years old or older.
Lifescape recognizes the importance of our services that are currently available, and we have no plan to stop these services in response to COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Lifescape continues our mission to help care for and protect our vulnerable senior population. This includes providing helpful information that would improve their lives and the lives of the caregivers. We recognize the importance of the recently identified coronavirus, however it is important for all of us to practice preventive measures for all respiratory illness.
Those preventive measures as recommended by the Center for Disease Control include:
If you or someone you are caring for start to experience a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please seek medical attention immediately.
