Lee County Sept. 27, 2021 COVID update


LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Health Department announced the death of three Lee County residents – a male in his 70s, and a male and female resident in their 80s. 

Between Sept. 21-27, the Lee County Health Department has reported a total of 57 new cases have been reported, with nine residents hospitalized.

Here are the ages that were reported: 7 under the age of 12, 3 in his or her teens, 10 in his or her 20s, 12 in his or her 30s, 10 in his or her 40s, 4 in his or her 50s, 8 in his or her 60s, and 3 in his or her 70s. 

This brings the total number of cases to 4,404 as of Sept. 27.

As of Oct. 4, according to IDPH 34,382 does of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lee County, and a total of 17,563 people in Lee County are fully vaccinated, which is 51.32 percent of the population.
