Because of the COVID 19 Virus we are closed to patrons until further notice.
The Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society office at 113 S. Hennepin Avenue in Dixon will be closed to patron usage effective at noon, Friday, March 13. Most of our volunteer workers are retirees who hate to admit that we are over the age of 60. Taking the recent advice from the Lee County Health Department, the Executive Board made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors to patrons.
We will continue to monitor our email, postal mail, web page, and Facebook page, so in-house research will still take place. You can still join the society and request research to be done. The general public will just not have physical access to the LCHGS library.
This policy will be re-assessed as soon as the Lee County Health Department deems it safe to re-open to the public.
