DURAND – The Amboy Lady Clippers will compete in the Durand Class 1A Girls’ Regional Basketball Tournament to be held Feb. 12, 15, 17.

The tournament will open on Saturday, Feb. 12 with three games played at the site of the higher seed. Amboy will entertain Rockford Christian Life for a 2 p.m. tip at the AHS gym, while South Beloit will be at Durand and Forreston will travel to Dakota.

An Amboy win will propel it to the semifinal-round against either Dakota or Forreston at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Durand. The other semifinal game will pit the Durand-South Beloit winner against Freeport Aquin at 6 p.m.

The championship game is slated for Thursday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

The winner of the Durand Regional will advance to the Forreston Sectional to battle the champion of the Lanark Eastland Regional at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22. The other sectional participants will come from the Indian Creek and Stockton regionals. The sectional championship is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
