The Amboy-LaMoille girls’ track team competed in the Lady Steamer Invite at Fulton on April 18.

There were 10 teams in the meet and the Lady Clippers took third place with 83 points. Milledgeville won with 108 points and Fulton was second with 101.

A-L finished first in four events, including three relays. Erin Hosto had the lone individual first in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:32.9.

The Lady Clippers traveled to Rock Falls for the Rocket Invite on April 21 and finished in third place out of 10 teams. A-L scored 78 points, while the top two teams were Bureau Valley (111) and Milledgeville-Eastland (99).

A-L recorded a pair of first-place finishes. Katelynn Pankhurst captured the long jump at 16-6, while the 4x400 relay broke the tape in a time of 4:15.04. Runners were Cassidy Corcoran, Pankhurst, Madeline Foster and Ashley Althaus.

Althaus set an Amboy school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01.65. She finished second in the race.
