SHABBONA – The Amboy Lady Clippers will participate in the Shabbona (Indian Creek) Class 1A Regional Volleyball Tournament to be held Oct. 23, 24, 26 in Shabbona.

The tournament will begin with two matches on Monday, Oct. 23. The Lady Clippers will square off with Indian Creek at 5:30 p.m. followed by Paw Paw against Kirkland (Hiawatha) at 6:30 p.m.

The winner of the Amboy-Indian Creek contest will advance to meet top-seeded Sterling Newman at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24.

The other semifinal match will pit the Paw Paw-Hiawatha winner against Leland-Earlville.

The two semifinal-round winners will meet for the regional title at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. The winner of the Indian Creek Regional will advance to the Sterling Newman Sectional to battle the survivor of the Freeport (Aquin) Regional on Monday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m.

The other sectional teams will come from the Scales Mound and Lanark (Eastland) regionals. Shabbona (Indian Creek)

2 – (5) Paw Paw vs. (11) Kirkland (Hiawatha) – 6:30 p.m.

3 – (1) Sterling (Newman Central Catholic) vs. Winner Match 1 – 5:30 p.m.

4 – (4) Leland [Coop] vs. Winner Match 2 – 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 26

5 – Winner Match 3 vs. Winner Match 4 – 6 p.m.
