AMBOY — Amboy and Sublette area businesses can now apply for a grant to help them recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. News Media Corporation, the parent company of The Amboy News, has established a $100,000 fund to help local businesses get back to full strength by subsidizing local marketing efforts through matching advertising dollars.

AMBOY — Amboy and Sublette area businesses can now apply for a grant to help them recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. News Media Corporation, the parent company of The Amboy News, has established a $100,000 fund to help local businesses get back to full strength by subsidizing local marketing efforts through matching advertising dollars.

“As a family owned business operating for almost 45 years, we know the only way to get through tough times is to stand with our partners, customers and readers. We are proud to offer any assistance we can to locally owned businesses, which are the heart beat of the community we publish in,” said JJ Tompkins, Chief Revenue Officer of News Media Corporation.

Businesses operating in the Amboy/Sublette market can apply for a matching grant of up to $5,000 today at amboynews.com/communitymarketinggrant. Applicants will receive a response to their application within one to two business days.

The fund is open to all locally owned and operated businesses impacted by the coronavirus, whether or not they are Amboy News current advertisers. Grant money can be used for local print and online advertising in The Amboy News and on www.amboynews.com. between April 1 and June 30, 2020.
