WEST BROOKLYN - Florence Lorraine Podraza, 95, of West Brooklyn, died Aug. 10, 2018 at home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home, Amboy with Rev. Horst Ollnau, pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship in Belvidere, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Lee Center. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service held on Aug. 14 at the funeral home.
Lorraine was born July 25, 1923 in St. James, Minn. to Ernie and Florence (Rendall) Smith. She married John Podraza. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one son, Donald (Kay) Podraza of Homosassa, Fla.; one daughter, Kathy (Ted) Marciniak of West Brooklyn; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Dean (Deanne) Hoffman of St. James, Minn.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lloyd Tatman; one grandson, Joe Prate; her husband; two brothers, Russell and Kenneth Smith; and three sisters, Cleo Scott, Rachel Behrends and Donna Freeman.
Lorraine worked as a postal clerk for Oak Park Post Office for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Sublette Union Church.
