FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Do it Best Foundation announces their latest distribution of $105,000 in grants to organizations focused on building a brighter future for kids and families in the communities where the Do it Best team lives, works, and plays. That distribution includes two $5,000 grants to Hope Cancer Wellness Center and United Way of Lee County in Dixon, Illinois.
“United Way of Lee County is so grateful for the support that we receive from the Do it Best Foundation,” says Executive Director Ashley Richter. “Their support helps us ensure that our community receives access to vital programs such as our Summer Eats meal program. This program helps provide free meals to kids and teens all summer long to make sure no child in Lee County goes hungry. Thank you so much for believing in our mission and what we do.”
“We’re extremely proud of our strong record of support for our community,” said Rich Jordan, general manager of the Do it Best warehouse in Dixon. “Our team has been actively contributing to the Foundation through pledges and donations so that we can build an even brighter future for kids and families in our community. And our local grant advisory council, made up of staff
volunteers, felt that Hope Cancer Wellness Center and United Way of Lee County aligned well with our commitment to serve others.”
