AMBOY – Amboy High School senior Brennan Blaine will have one more high school football game to play in as he has been chosen to participate in the 2024 Illinois Coaches Association Shrine football game. The contest will take place on Saturday, June 15 at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.

Blaine selected for 2024 Illinois Coaches Association Shrine football game

AMBOY – Amboy High School senior Brennan Blaine will have one more high school football game to play in as he has been chosen to participate in the 2024 Illinois Coaches Association Shrine football game. The contest will take place on Saturday, June 15 at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.

Blaine will be on the roster of the Red Team. Preston Moriarty of Cambridge Ridgewood will be on the Blue Team.

Blaine helped lead the Clippers to the Illinois 8-Man Football Association state championship with a resounding 74-22 victory over Cambridge Ridgewood on Nov. 17. The win capped a perfect 13-0 season for the Clippers.

The head coach of the Red Team will be Chris Malette of Chicago Hope Academy. Assistants are Mike Noll of Richmond-Burton, Patrick Lower of Fulton, Anthony Sheehan of Oak Lawn Richards, Justin Groves of Benton and Jason Drengwitz of Normal Community.

The Blue Team will be guided by Cully Welter of Monticello, assisted by Ron Planz of Lake Zurich, Ryan Hebard of Knoxville, Colton Rhodes of Collinsville, Eric Lyons of Stanford Olympia and Tolly Tsiamas of Peotone.
