Traffic stop results in meth, obstructing justice charges

DIXON – On March 15, 2024, at approximately 3:26 P.M., Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on IL Rt. 26 near South Eldena Rd. in rural Dixon, Lee County, Illinois. The vehicle was pulling a small utility trailer with no visible registration.

Traffic stop results in meth, obstructing justice charges

DIXON – On March 15, 2024, at approximately 3:26 P.M., Deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on IL Rt. 26 near South Eldena Rd. in rural Dixon, Lee County, Illinois. The vehicle was pulling a small utility trailer with no visible registration.   

After a consent search of the vehicle, Deputies located 10.5 grams of Methamphetamine. Through the investigation, the driver, Amy J. Allison, age 45, of Dixon was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 2 Felony. 

A passenger, Albert J. Brooks, age 40, of Dixon was arrested for Obstructing Justice, a Class 4 Felony and a Failure to Appear Warrant out of Ogle County.

All charges are merely an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
