AMBOY — The Amboy Lions Club presented a check to District Governor Steve Boettger for the Restoring Hope Transplant House.
A can collecting change at Amboy Food & Liquor resulted in the donation to Restoring Hope. Restoring Hope is a non-profit home that provides lodging for those undergoing transplant surgeries at UW Hospital and the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison. Boettger chose Restoring Hope as his charitable project for his term as District Governor. A planned expansion at Restoring Hope will provide lodging for more than twice as many families than were previously able to be served. Amboy Lions Club member Jim Travi encouraged everyone to drop their change into the can when checking out to help this great cause.
