AMBOY — It was a partly cloudy morning that turned into a beautiful sunny day for the Amboy Depot Days Car Show. Rain did appear later in the afternoon.
This year, the show had more than 500 entries into the show.
Like last year, organizers lined vehicles up first come, first serve. Vehicles were still judged by the classes the vehicles were entered into.
The 2019 Depot Days Car Show featured vehicles are Rick and Kathy Ketchum’s Restorations, as a celebration of Rick’s rides. Rick Ketchum was a founding member of the Amboy Depot Days Car Show, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Amboy community over the last 28 years. Rick passed away on Feb. 7, 2019.
The Amboy Depot Days Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show was started in 1991 by a group of friends who not only had an interest in antique and classic vehicles but also desired a way to showcase their community.
Garth Dallam, one of the Depot Days Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show organizers said that the committee is looking for volunteers to join the committee that puts on the annual show.
Results from the annual show will appear in a later edition of the Amboy News.
