AMBOY — Rachel Ackert, daughter of Jeff and Mary Ackert, has been named the Amboy High School Student of the Month for February.

GPA: 3.8 

Memberships and Involvement: I am involved in National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Student Council, and Leo’s Club

Best Memories: The best memories I have at AHS are the powderpuff football games during homecoming week. I can still remember the feeling when our team won first place. 

Future Plans: My current post-high school plans are to attend Sauk Valley Community College to enroll in the EMT program. After pursuing this career for several years I then plan to become a police officer.
