AMBOY —Julia Setchell, a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign majoring in Kinesiology and a2014 graduate of Amboy High School, will have the opportunity to go to Honduras for nine days in May with a group of her peers from the University of Illinois through a program called Global Brigades.
Through this program the group will travel to Honduras alongside physicians and dentists to provide professional healthcare and health education to those who normally would not have access to it.
Setchell is raising money to go towards medical supplies and medications that they will be administering through the clinic they set up in their community. She is pretty far away from her goal yet, so any donation at all will greatly be appreciated and help the group reach the end goal of providing these individuals in Honduras the opportunity at receiving the healthcare they need.
To donate, please go to www.globalbrigades.org and search for Julia Setchell in the volunteer bar. After clicking on her name, donors will be taken to her page, click the Donate button, and find my name in the drop-down menu to donate to my trip.
