LEE COUNTY – New faces will be added to Amboy and Sublette local governmental boards.
The results from Tuesday’s election, show that newcomer Frank Stenzel defeated incumbent Daryl Stuckemeyer for Ward 3 of the Amboy City Council. Stenzel received 71 votes to Stuckemeyer’s 30 votes.
For Amboy’s Ward 2, newcomer Brandon Klein ran unopposed and received 35 votes.
In the Sublette Village Trustee race, former village trustee and board president John Stenzel received the most votes with 49, newcomer Jeff M. Myers came in second with 44 votes, and incumbent Scott Hanson received 40 votes securing him the final position on the board. Former board member Robert Bulfer received 36 votes and current board member Richard Klaser received 13 votes.
In the race for Amboy School Board, incumbents Jason Leffelman, Nichole Stenzel and Nicole Jones received the most votes for the three positions. Leffelman received 280 votes, Stenzel received 288 votes, Jones received 226, and newcomer Rory White received 160 votes.
