Amboy High School graduate Ashley Althaus (center), was presented with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen award by members of the Rochelle Chapter, DAR Good Citizen Committee: Darlene Hinkle (left) and Vice Regent Lydia Roberts (right). Ashley was chosen for exemplifying the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism through a process involving her fellow students and teachers, as demonstrated in her leadership roles in the Student Council, National Honor Society & FFA, as well as in service to her community through Leo’s Club, her church and neighborhood events. Ashley plans to attend Iowa State University and major in Agricultural Studies with a minor in Ag Systems Technology.
