Amboy Food and Liquor hosted its Grand Re-Opening on Sunday, March 25. The day marked the year anniversary of when the store had it’s first grand opening and ribbon cutting with the City of Amboy. And what a year it’s been. Sanjay Desai, the owner of Amboy Food and Liquor, and pictured third from left in the left hand side picture, purchased the building next door and expanded the store. The expansion now houses the liquor department of the store. The store also expanded it’s selection of every day household items. On Sunday, a ribbon cutting was held for the new expansion of the store. Pictured left is the ribbon cutting ceremony, from left to right, Amboy Alderman Dave Shaw and Brett Dewey, Desai, Manager Tommy Patel, Amboy Mayor John Schamberger and Shirish Patel.
