MORRISON/STERLING – The Illinois Wrestling Coaches and Officials Association held its Freshmen/Sophomore Regional Tournaments on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2.
Amboy High School sophomore Caiden Heath, right, (138 pounds) and freshman Aden Spinelli (101 pounds) not only competed at the Morrison Regional, but they were won their brackets.
Both wrestlers advanced to the IWCOA Sectional Sunday, March 9 at Sterling. At the sectional, both Heath and Spinelli, once again, showed what they could do on the mats as Heath won his 138-pound bracket and Spinelli placed fourth at 101 pounds.
Both wrestlers are competing at the 29th Annual IWCOA State Championships.
