SENECA – The Amboy wrestling team made the best of a long day of wrestling Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Seneca Irish Invite as the Clippers took seventh out of 20 teams.
Kewanee won the invite with 236.5 points, Canton was second with 179.5, and Wheaton Academy scored 172.5 points for third. Amboy tallied 106 points.
Amboy had three wrestlers take third place as Aden Spinelli accomplished the feat at 106 pounds, Chase Montavon at 132, and Caiden Heath at 144.
A fourth-place medal was also won by the Clippers as LaMoille junior Evan Flanagan was Top four at 215 pounds.
