LEE COUNTY — Voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, April 2 to elect local officials.
For Amboy Community Unit School District School Board, no candidate is running for the unexpired two-year term.
For the four-year terms, incumbent Nicole Jones, Jason Leffelman and Nichole Stenzel are running against opponent Rory R. White for three open four-year term seats.
Membership on the board of education is restricted to a maximum of three members from any congressional township. On the basis of existing board members, members may be elected in the following numbers from each congressional township.
Jones and White are running from Township 19N Range 11 E, of which not more than three candidates may be elected in this election. Leffelman is running from Township 19N Range 10 E, of which not more than three candidates may be elected in this election. Stenzel is running from Township 20N Range 10 E, of which not more than one candidate may be elected in this election.
