MENDOTA – It was a beautiful day for the Don Gooden Invitational on Saturday, April 12 at Mendota High School and the Amboy boys and girls track and field teams took full advantage.
Sophomore Henry Nichols took fifth in the 3,200-meter run, juniors Bella Yanos and Jillian Anderson and sophomores Alexa McKendry and Maddie Althaus led the 400-meter relay team a victory, and junior Kabe Daniels finished third in the 800-meter run.
Other top finishes for the Lady Clippers were Althaus winning the long jump and Yanos placing just behind her for second, and McKendry and freshman Olivea Glasper taking second and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles.
