FULTON – The Amboy softball team has been assigned to the IHSA Class 1A Fulton Regional Softball Tournament.
The Lady Clippers will open the tournament against the host Steamers on Tuesday, May 20. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The other first-round game will pit Putnam County against Sterling Newman on Wednesday, May 21.
The winners of first-round games will meet for the regional championship at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 23.
The champion of the Fulton Regional will advance to the Woodhull (AlWood) Sectional to take on the winner of the Abingdon-Avon Regional at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 28. The other sectional participants will come from the Kewanee Wethersfield and Williamsfield regionals.

1 – (2) Fulton (H.S.) vs. (7) Amboy – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 21
2 – (3) Granville (Putnam County) vs. (6) Sterling (Newman Central Catholic) – 4:30 p.m.
Friday, May 23
3 – Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 – 4:30 p.m. (championship)
