AMBOY – The Amboy softball team didn’t catch a break in its last two games at home as the Lady Clippers lost 15-0 to Eastland in five innings on Tuesday, April 29 and 12-3 to Indian Creek on Monday, May 5.
Against Eastland, freshman Tinley Whitney was the losing pitcher, while junior Kiera Karlson hit a double and junior Brittlyn Whitman and freshman Gabby Miller each connected for a single.
On Monday, Whitney lost in the circle and sophomores Leighton Gulley and Lili Leffelman, and Karlson each had two singles apiece, and Whitney hit a single.
The Lady Clippers are 4-14 on the season and have five games before the IHSA Class 1A postseason begins.
