DIXON — Sharon M. Drew, 76, of Dixon, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021 at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

She was born on Dec. 20, 1944 in Sterling, the daughter of Eugene and Lavon (Spotts) Lauts.

Sharon worked for the kitchen at Mendota Community Hospital, the Senior Center, Heritage Square, Meals on Wheels, and also sold realty with Steven Realty.

On Aug. 31, 1979 she married Jerry Drew in Morrison.

She enjoyed playing the accordion and piano/keyboard. Sharon had a strong love of music that she passed onto her children. Music would always fill her home along with the smell of baking which she also enjoyed doing saying "everything is better with butter." She also enjoyed Horseback and snowmobile riding, training horses with her husband, taking care of her flowers, and was also a strong prayer warrior.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gene Lauts.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry; her children, Dustin (Sarah) Drew, of Dixon, Julie (Jeff) Hussey, of Stillman Valley, Josie (David) Mosinski, of Fairfield, Iowa, and Jennie (Andy) Dewey, of Polo; nine grandchildren, Michael Dewey, Amanda Dewey, Drew Dewey, Jake (Maria) Dewey, Bryan Dewey, Mackenzie (Jared) Schleicher, Austin (Hana) Yuill, Easton Drew, Emory Drew; and five great-grandchildren, Kylie Dewey, Kaethen Dewey, Kenzli Dewey, Kolten Dewey, and Henry Schleicher. She is also survived by one sister, Lutitia Loomis of Lee Center, and several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – noon, on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at the Mihm Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. A private Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.
