AMBOY – Scott J. Schulz, 68, of Amboy, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services will be on at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. There will also be a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2025 at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Memorial donations can be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
Schulz was born on May 24, 1956 in Freeport, the son of Harold and Lou (Kieckhaefer) Schulz.
Scott taught industrial arts at Amboy High School, was the maintenance director at Woodhaven Lakes Association where he retired in 2009, and worked for McDonald Trucking in Ohio, Ill. He married Karen Roche on May 11, 1996 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amboy.
Schulz is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Glenn Schulz. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Anna Schulz, sister Beth Schulz of Freeport, and his Woodhaven Lakes and McDonald Trucking Families.
