TAMPICO – Nancy Forward, 78, of Tampico, died on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Rock River Hospice Home in Sterling.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024 at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.
Private family burial will be held at St. Mary Cemetery in Tampico at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock River Hospice Home. Online condolence may be made at www.mcdonaldfuneralhomes.com.
Forward was born April 15, 1946, in Sterling, the daughter of Raymond and Geraldine (Lee) Braggo. She married Greg Forward on February 27, 1965, and farmed alongside him for almost 60 years. Nancy enjoyed traveling, her flowers, and hummingbirds. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Greg Forward, of Tampico; her children, Lori (Bill) Althaus, of Sublette, Paul (Tamie) Forward, of Tampico, and Gary (Jody) Forward, of Prophetstown; daughter-in-law, Mandi Forward, of Tampico; two sisters, Rita Wilson, of Mineral Point, WI, and Cathy Schultz, of Amboy; seven grandchildren, Eric Althaus, Alyssa (Alex) Leffelman, Jenna (Steve) Keenan, Whitney (Steven) Fealko, Jared (Lexi) Forward, Ashtynn Forward, and Easton Forward; two step-grandchildren, Samantha (Ryan) Turner, and Erica (Kyle) Fisher; and five great-grandchildren, Kacey, Lainey, and Brody Leffelman, Adelline Keenan, and Jordyn Forward.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Scott Forward.
