Leonard H. Thomaschefsky


DIXON – Leonard “Rusty” Howard Thomaschefsky, 85, of Dixon, walked through the valley of the shadow of death into the arms of his heavenly father on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at Heritage Square, in Dixon.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, at First United Methodist Church in Dixon, with Rev. Heewon Kim officiating. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at church. Burial will be following the luncheon at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon.

Leonard was born June 28, 1932, in Argonne Wis., the son of Otto A. and Inez (Mosher) Thomaschefsky. Leonard married Patricia “Patsy” Y. Stevens on Aug. 14, 1954, in Crandon Wis.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patsy” Thomaschefsky; one daughter, Dorry (Jon) Kingry of Dixon; one son, Mark (Jean) Thomaschefsky of Sterling; three brothers, Otto “Mike” Thomaschefsky, Clifford “Bill” (Sherry) Thomaschefsky, Dan (Linda) Thomaschefsky; one sister, Vicki (Jim) Elam, all of Argonne, Wis.; three grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah, and Matthew Thomaschefsky; many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant daughter, Sandra Ellen Thomaschefsky; one infant granddaughter, Jennifer Inez Thomaschefsky; one brother, Bobby Thomaschefsky; three sisters, Ramona Schultz, Betty Jean Kevilus, Joan Thomaschefsky.

He worked as a manager for Ludwig Dairy for 35 years. After his retirement, he owned and operated Four Season’s Lawn Care and Pat’s Transportation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Heritage Square Nursing Home, First United Methodist Church and Serenity Hospice & Home.

Arrangements are being completed by Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon.
