Lee County Sheriff warns of COVID vaccine scams
Posted
LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Sheriff's office has been made aware of a new scam.
Citizens are reporting they are receiving calls from someone identifying themselves as the Lee County Health Department. The caller asks for the other parties social security number to complete COVID vaccine paperwork.
Please note that these calls are NOT from the health department. They will not ask for social security numbers over the phone.
The sheriff's office know people are anxious to get their vaccine; therefore, wanted to get this information to the public to hopefully avoid anyone falling subject to this scam.
