LEE COUNTY — The Lee County Health Department announces 134 new positive cases between Feb. 8-14, 2022 and is saddened to report the death of a male resident in his 70’s. 

Here are the ages that were reported: 15 12 and under, 18 in his or her teens, 18 in his or her 20s, 27 in his or her 30s, 24 in his or her 40s, 10 in his or her 50s, 15 in his or her 60s, and 7 in his or her 70s. Less than 5 residents are hospitalized. The county also reported that the number of cases in unvaccinated individuals is 95 of the 134 cases.

Vaccine

As of Feb. 21, according to IDPH 48,786 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lee County, and a total of 19,530 people in Lee County are fully vaccinated, which is 57.07 percent of the population. A total of 20,999 have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 10,446 people have received the vaccine booster shot.
