Here are the ages that were reported: 4 under the age of 12, 2 in his or her teens, 8 in his or her 20s, 5 in his or her 30s, 3 in his or her 40s, 3 in his or her 50s, 3 in his or her 60s, 2 in his or her 70s, and 1 in his or her 80s.

LEE COUNTY — Between May 4-7, the Lee County Health Department has reported a total of 31 new cases have been reported. Here are the ages that were reported: 4 under the age of 12, 2 in his or her teens, 8 in his or her 20s, 5 in his or her 30s, 3 in his or her 40s, 3 in his or her 50s, 3 in his or her 60s, 2 in his or her 70s, and 1 in his or her 80s.
This brings the total number of cases to 3,874 as of May 7. They also reported as of May 7, there are 5 residents being hospitalized and 70 residents have died.
The Lee County Health Department’s website has a COVID-19 section, including information for people who have tested positive. This provides guidance as you wait to hear from one of the health department’s contact tracers. There is sometimes a delay between residents receiving their positive results and the report getting to the health department; additionally, they are experiencing a surge in cases and likely have a good number of people already on their list to be contacted in the order received. Vaccine
As of May 7, according to IDPH 22,834 does of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lee County, and a total of 10,990 people in Lee County have received both does of the vaccine. This amounts to 32.11 percent of the population.

The Lee County Health Department is hosting two Moderna walk-in vaccine clinics this week. The first was on Tuesday, May 11, from 3-6 p.m., in the Amboy Depot parking lot, with the second shot being given on June 8.
The second is on Wednesday, May 12, from 2 – 5 p.m., at the Ashton’s Lion Center on Main Street next to Central Bank. The second shot is scheduled for June 9.
