DIXON – To celebrate National Ag Week this past March, Lee County Ag in the Classroom sponsored a coloring contest. More than 215 students from seven Lee County representing grades Kindergarten through eighth entered.
The Lee Co. Farm Bureau Young Leaders Committee reviewed all entries and chose grade level winners from each participating school and grade level winners county wide.
The following Amboy students were selected:
First Grade School Winner: Kain Kaleel
Second Grade School Winner: Ryker Morrissey
Third Grade School Winner: Kendall Hopper
Sixth Grade School Winner: Madison Lahmiller
Eighth Grade School Winner: Channing Fellows
The following Amboy students were selected as county winners:
First Grade County Winner: Ryleigh Wolf
Third Grade County Winner: Kendall Rose
Eighth Grade County Winner: Faith Fenwick
County winner received a Culver’s gift card and a book from the Lee Co. Ag in the Classroom library. Participating schools included Amboy Central, Amboy Junior High, Paw Paw, Ashton-Franklin Center, Washington (Dixon), Jefferson (Dixon), and Reagan (Dixon).
