ROCK FALLS – Judith “Judy” Laws, 83, of Rock Falls, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Allure of Sterling, surrounded by her loving family.

Memorials may be given in her memory to the Special Olympics.

Laws was born on January 27, 1942, in Amboy, the daughter of Clarence Arthur and Elizabeth Mary (Bodmer) Reinhold. She was a proud graduate of Amboy High School and married the love of her life, Dale C. Laws, on July 29, 1961, in Amboy. They shared a lifetime of love and laughter until his passing on March 24, 2006.

Judy was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who had a spunky spirit and a love for life. She spent over 30 years as a school bus driver, a job she loved with kids she cherished. She found joy in bowling with friends, cruising the open seas, and listening to classic country music, especially Conway Twitty. Her quick wit, warm heart, and unwavering presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was a faithful member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Laws is survived by her children: Connie (Joe) Johnston, Lori (Todd) Miller, Christy Laws, and Dean (Sarah) Laws; daughter-in-law Tracey Laws; grandchildren: Jim Johnston, Jessica Johnston, Dustin (Amanda) Miller, Dylan Miller, Alyssa Miller, Kiley Laws, Chloe Laws, Sophie Laws, Matthew Laws, Evan Laws, and Owen Laws; great-grandson, Beckett Miller; brother Jim (Janet) Reinhold; and sister Mary Harrawood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Jeff, her brothers Robert and Donald Reinhold, and her infant sisters Sandra and Patricia Reinhold.
