DIXON – At approximately 4:57 p.m. on Monday, May 12, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Palmyra Road and Peek Home Road in rural Dixon.
Investigating deputies learned a 2020 Harley driven by Jordan M. Goodell, 26, of Rock Fall,s was traveling northeast bound on Palmyra Road. Melissa J. Blomberg, 35, of Dixon, was traveling southwest bound on Palmyra Road in her 2018 Dodge Journey when the two vehicles collided.
Goodell was transported to OSF Saint Katharine Hospital in Dixon and was later transported to OSF Saint Anthony in Rockford for further treatment. Blomberg and her passenger were transported to CGH Medical Center in Sterling for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Dixon Rural Fire Department and Advance EMS Ambulance Services. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
