The Amboy High School Class of 2024 was celebrated and awarded their diplomas on Sunday, May 19.
Speeches were given by Emma Dinges, who was named the Student of the Year at Amboy Honors Night on Thursday, May 16 (see page A2 for winners and photos), Austin Shugars, and AHS principal Janet Crownhart. The Amboy choir sang and the band played to help officialize the event and the student’s achievements.
The annual handing of flowers from the graduates to people in the crowd who helped them get to this day occured with plenty of hugs, smiles, handshakes, and statements of appreciation.
Plenty of photos were taken during the ceremony, in the lobby in front of the Amboy Clipper backdrop and outside in a fitting beautiful, sunny day landscape.
A storybook chapter closed for another to open after high school.
