ROCKFORD – Amboy senior Carson Barlow may have wanted a better season than he finished with.
However, advancing out of the Class 1A Eastland Regional shooting an individual advancing score of 89 and performing at the Class 1A Rockford Lutheran Sectional is impressive.
At the sectional he shot a 99.
“I think his season was a little disappointing for him because he really expected more of himself,” said Amboy coach Zach Ross. “I think he just put too much pressure on himself. He was a strong golfer for us all year. He started the season shooting 42 and 38 in our first two meets.”
