AMBOY – Enroute to a trip to the IHSA Class 1A Hinckley-Big Rock Sectional Championship, the Amboy girls basketball team received four bids on the All-Northwest Upstate Illini Conference South Division Team.

Girls Basketball: Lady Clippers land four on All-NUIC South Team

AMBOY – Enroute to a trip to the IHSA Class 1A Hinckley-Big Rock Sectional Championship, the Amboy girls basketball team received four bids on the All-Northwest Upstate Illini Conference South Division Team.

Seniors Tyrah Vaessen and Addison Pertell were named to the first team, junior Bella Yanos joined the second team, and senior Emily Sachs was honorable mention.

Accompanying Vaessen and Pertell on the first team were Eastland’s Olivia Klinefelter (senior) and Morgan McCullough (junior), Polo junior Camrynn Jones, and Morrison senior Camryn Veltrop.

Also on the second team was Fulton junior Haley Smither, Morrison senior Kaylee Pruis, Ashton-Franklin Center senior Audree Dorn, Eastland junior Sienna Peterson, and Polo junior Carlee Grobe.

The honorable mentions featured AFC’s Reese Polk (junior) and Cameryn Winterland (senior), Eastland junior Tatum Grim, Fulton senior Kylie Smithers, Milledgeville juniors Loren Meiners and Addison Janssen, and Polo junior Laynie Mandrell.
