BURLINGTON, Wis. — Emory Richard Johnson, of Burlington, Wis., went home to see his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021 with his wife by his side.
Emory was born March 26, 1941, in Dixon. He was the son of Emory Willis and Audrey J. (Weems) Johnson. He graduated from Amboy High School where he met and married the love of his life, Carol A. Hardy, on Nov. 6, 1960, at the First Baptist Church in Amboy.
Emory was a member of the Mukwonago Baptist Church, in Mukwonago, Wis.
Emory was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Audrey Johnson; his three sisters, Pat, Jean and Carol Louise (Jack Kelly); and his great-grandson, Knox.
Emory will be leaving behind his wife of 60 years and their five children, Cheryl (Greg) Stine, Richard (Karen), Jeff (Courtney) Johnson, Brenda Leipzig, and Amy (Boyd) Aldrich; a sister, Lois Bearman, of Dixon; sister-in-law, Nettie Poulos, of Dixon, Sharon (Delbert) Yocum, of Franklin Grove; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, with 3 arriving this year; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Emory was held on Feb. 16, 2021, at the Mukwonago Baptist Church with Pastor Robert’s officiating.
