AMBOY – Donna A. Etheridge, 79, of Amboy, passed away on Sunday April 20, 2025 at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling.

Funeral Services will be at noon on Saturday April 26, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Visitation will be from 10-11:45 a.m. Saturday April 26, 2025 at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.

Etheridge was born on June 19, 1945 in Dixon, the daughter of John and Darlene (Clark) Blackburn.

She was a legal secretary for the law office of Henry Dixon in Amboy. Etheridge also worked for The Amboy News, was a secretary for St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, and the Amboy Grain Elevator. Donna was a member of the Amboy Schools Parent Teacher Organization.

Etheridge married Daniel L. Etheridge on May 8, 1965 in Harmon.

Donna is preceded by her parents, sister Sandy (Dan) Payne, and grandson Matthew Etheridge.

She is survived by her husband Dan, children Daniel (Tracey) Etheridge of Rochelle, Brenda (Jeff) Gould of Sterling, grandchildren Emma Etheridge, Max Etheridge, Austin Gabriel, Griffin Gabriel, Gracyn Gabriel, Brenden (Ashley) Gould, Gretchen (John Rahn) Gould, Grace (Shane Baker) Gould, great-grandchildren Millie Gould, Analise Baker, and Beau Gabriel, siblings John (Sharon) Blackburn of North Carolina, Randy (Denise) Blackburn of Dixon, and many nieces and nephews.
