LEE COUNTY – The driver of a single-vehicle accident in April that resulted in the deaths of two teenagers has been charged in the crash.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police and the Lee County Coroner’s Office have completed the investigation. The driver of the vehicle, Draven Z. Webb, 20, of Dixon, has been charged with two counts of reckless homicide, a class 3 felony, with a potential prison term of 2-5 years for each charge if found guilty. Webb is currently being held at the Lee County Jail, with bond set at $100,000 (10%).
On Saturday, April 10 at approximately 4:15 p.m., Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a single vehicle that struck a tree off Robbins Road, south of Amboy Road. Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies, Amboy Fire/EMS, Sublette Fire/EMS, and Advance Ambulance responded to the scene. Four occupants were identified in the collision. Webb and a 14-year-old female were transported to KSB Hospital and later transferred for further treatment. The other two occupants of the vehicle, a 14-year-old female and a 14-year-old male, died of their injuries at the scene.
