CSUD #272 Board seat records 3,374 votes in 13 precincts to elect four of six options in only Amboy election race

AMBOY There was only one race on the April 1 Consolidated election with opposition for Amboy, four-year member of the Community School Unit District #272.

With six names on the ballot, only four could be chosen.

With 421 votes, Katie Pratt, former president of the district, Mandy Powers (367), Elisa Payne (364), and Andrew Montavon (353) were the top four vote getters. The bottom two were Rory White (287) and Nicholas Brokaw (166).

The rest of the races had no opposition as Frank Stenzel is the mayor, Melissa Eisenberg is the city clerk, alderpersons remain Greg Noble (Ward 1), Bill Bontz (Ward 2), Dave Shaw (Ward 3).

Jeffrey Parker, a write in, was an unopposed selection to take the two-year unexpired Ward 3 position.

In township roles, Emily O’Malley is the town supervisor, Amy Scudder is the town clerk, Tom Bulfer is the highway commissioner, and the town trustees are William Metzen, Leo McCoy, David Nauman, and Carl Grossman.
