Broderick was born on April 14, 1939 in Nachusa, the daughter of Jess and Fellipa (Moya) Melendrez. Connie was married to Thomas R. Broderick for 58 years. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2021.
Connie attended Newman Central Catholic High School in Sterling. She spent many years being a hostess at Parkway Restaurant and the Brandywine Restaurant.
The Brodericks loved snowmobiling with their friends. Connie was a member of the Dixon Elks Club and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. They moved to Bonners Ferry in 2000. She belonged to Well Armed Women and was a pretty good shot.
Mrs. Broderick also loved working in the polls at election time, attending the Annual Wine Walk and musical and theater events in Spokane. She loved decorating her beautiful home to entertain many friends at Christmas and New Years. She enjoyed the car shows and parades that showed off their beautiful antique cars.
Connie is survived by her sister-in-law Elsa Dietz of Princeton, many nieces and nephews and very special friends Brad and Ann Apple of Dixon, and David and Jenny Erickson of Bonners Ferry.
She is also preceded in death by her parents and siblings Mary Steele, Phillip Melendrez, Alice Rodriguez, Joe Melendres, Julia Klostermann, Helen Clayton, Jesse Melendrez, Ben Melendrez, Steve Melendrez, Dolly Biggerstaff, and Donnie Melendrez.
Rest in peace Connie, you will be missed.
