AMBOY — The Amboy City Council will set Trick or Treating hours during its October meeting.
The city council members met on Monday, Sept. 21, at the Amboy Community Building.
Amboy Alderman Brandon Klein asked if the city was going to set Trick or Treating hours. Amboy Mayor John Schamberger said residents should use their best judgement for Trick or Treating and that the city would reach out to the health department and ask for guidelines, and set hours at the next meeting.
In other board news:
• The board approved a bid from Visu Sewer in the amount of $71,169.75 to line the sewer lines on N. Jefferson St. Alderman Dave Shaw asked if there would be any interruption in service and Amboy City Clerk Melissa Eisenberg said she didn’t remember any interruptions when the city did another similar project.
• Schamberger gave a shout out to the Amboy Lions Club who purchased 200 gift cards from local businesses as prizes in their annual Draw Down. Schamberger said this put a lot of money back into local businesses. He also gave props to the Maintenance crew for making improvements to the city.
• The board approved the resignation of Jessica Wittenauer from the Library Board and approved Linda Grady to the Library Board.
