ERIE – The Amboy boys’ track team has been assigned to the Erie Class 1A Sectional Track Meet to be held Thursday, May 16. Action will begin with the field events at 4 p.m., followed by the running events at 5:45 p.m.
Other schools competing at Erie include Ashton-Franklin Center, Cambridge, Erie, Fulton, Lena-Winslow, Manlius Bureau Valley, Milledgeville, Morrison, Orion, Pearl City, Port Byron Riverdale, Rock Island Alleman, Savanna West Carroll, Sterling Newman Central Catholic, Stockton and Taylor Ridge Rockridge.
First- and second-place winners and those who meet or exceed the qualifying standard in each event, including relay teams, will advance to the State final meet.
The IHSA State Meet is scheduled for Thursday, May 23 through Saturday, May 25 at O’Brien Stadium on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
