LANARK – The Amboy Clipper golfers have been assigned to the Lanark Eastland Class 1A Regional Golf Tournament to be held Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Lake Carroll Golf Course in Lanark.
Other schools in the regional include Earlville, Erie [Coop], Fulton (H.S.), Lanark (Eastland) [Coop], Manlius (Bureau Valley), Morrison, Oregon, Polo, Port Byron (Riverdale), Rock Island (Alleman), Savanna (West Carroll), Shabbona (Indian Creek) and Sterling (Newman Central Catholic).
Members of the first-, second-, and third-place teams in the regional will advance to the sectional. In addition, the 10 best scoring individuals that are not members of a qualifying team shall also advance from the regional to the sectional tournament.
The sectional will be hosted by Rockford Lutheran and contested at The Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Club in Rockford on Monday, Oct. 7.
