AMBOY – After losing five games in a row, the Amboy boys basketball team returned two tallies into the win column in its last four games.
The Clippers beat Morrison, 45-40, on Monday, Jan. 13, fell to Fulton, 46-32 on Friday, Jan. 19, defeated Polo, 57-47, on Thursday, Jan. 23, and lost to Oregon, 59-45, on Monday, Jan. 27.
Amboy is 8-12 overall and is 2-4 in the Northwest Upstate Illini Conference East Division.
In the victory over Morrison, senior Eddy Jones scored a game-high 15 points, while fellow senior Quinn Leffelman recorded 10 points.
Three Clippers finished with double-digit scoring in the Polo win as junior Ezra Parker had 19, Leffelman 15, and freshman Bryson Deery 10.
Jones and Leffelman both had 11 points each in the loss to Oregon.
