AMBOY – The Amboy boys basketball split its two games last week.
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the Clippers traveled to Earlville where they fell 43-37 in a non-conference contest.
Senior Eddie Jones led Amboy with 16 points, while senior Quinn Leffelman contributed 11, junior Ezra Parker added seven, freshman Bryson Deery chipped in two, and junior Rylan McNinch had one.
Two days later, Thursday, Dec. 19, the Clippers were back on the road, this time to Leland.
Amboy was victorious 69-49 as Jones scored a game high 23 points.
Leffelman and Parker both finished in double-digit scoring also with 18 and 14 points, respectively. Deery tallied nine and McNinch recorded five.
With the split, Amboy is 4-4 eight games into the season.
The Clippers now prepare for the LaMoille Holiday Tournament taking place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Dec. 26-28.
