AMBOY – The Amboy baseball team fell to Northwest Upstate Illini Conference South Division foe Eastland, 3-0, on Tuesday, April 29 at Amboy and 2-0 on Thursday, May 1 at Lanark.
The two loses give the Clippers a 9-10 record on the season.
In the first game against Eastland, senior Brody Christoffersen started on the mound for Amboy and recorded 22 outs as he allowed eight hits and two runs while striking out nine and walking one in 7 1/3 innings.
At the plate, senior Quinn Leffelman was 2-of-3.
In the second matchup, senior Carson Barlow tallied 18 outs behind 11 strike outs and two walks, while allowing five hits and two runs in six innings.
Junior Rylan McNinch was 2-of-3 at the plate.
The Clippers have five games remaining on the schedule before the IHSA Class 1A playoffs begin.
