AMBOY – The Amboy Clippers’ baseball team will stay home and host the IHSA Class 1A Amboy Regional Baseball Tournament.
The Clippers will take the field for their first game at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 19 against Kirkland Hiawatha.
An Amboy win will propel it to the semifinal-round to meet Forreston at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21. The second semifinal contest will be between Fulton and Ashton-Franklin Center at 6:30 p.m.
The two winners will advance to the regional championship at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24.
The champion of the Amboy Regional will move on to the Lena-Winslow Sectional where it will square off against the winner of the Warren Regional at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 28. The other sectional participants will come from the East Dubuque and Lanark Eastland regionals.

1 – (9) Kirkland (Hiawatha) at (7) Amboy – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 21
2 – (1) Forreston vs. Winner Game 1 – 4:30 p.m.
3 – (4) Fulton (H.S.) vs. (5) Ashton (A.-Franklin Center) – 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 24
4 – Winner Game 2 vs. Winner Game 3 – 1 p.m. (championship)
